Audio Describer

The Stratford Shakespeare Festival is currently seeking 3-4 experienced Audio Describers to provide live audio description for selected performances for patrons with vision disabilities.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience with audio description for live events or theatre.  Alternatively, applicants may have past experience in descriptive video or related fields and are interested in learning about live theatre description. Selected candidates must be available to participate in audition/training sessions Friday evening August 10th, Saturday August 11th and Sunday August 12th. Those selected from the training sessions will be required to describe 1-3 performances this season at the Festival Theatre.

Along with a resume and references you are requested to provide a sample of an audio description you have performed. (eg. Audio tape, video tape, or web link)
